Seasalt Meadows – a new way to enjoy the coast

Seasalt Meadows is a rare chance to own a holiday lodge on the Blackwater Estuary, just over an hour from London but a world away from the everyday. There are only 18 lodges, each finished to a high standard, complete with wrap-around balconies and a full 12-month holiday licence. Think coffee outside in the morning, long lunches in the fresh sea air, and evenings watching the sky change colour over open farmland and sea.

Life by the water

Lodge owners will have direct access to Osea’s private beach, which has been in the same family since the late 1800s. Days can be as active or as calm as you want them to be. Launch a paddleboard, kayak or jet ski straight from the shoreline, or launch your boat from the ramp. If walking is more your pace, the Saltmarsh Coast paths and King Charles III Coastal Path start right in front of the park and take you towards Maldon, Heybridge and Chigborough Lakes in one direction, or Goldhanger, Tollesbury and the Tollesbury Wick Nature Reserve in the other.

Osea Leisure Park began in 1933 as a retreat for seasonal workers. It has grown steadily into one of the region’s leading holiday parks, still run by the same family and recently awarded VisitEngland’s Five Star rating.
