Glamping has become the summer get-away for anyone looking to unwind. It’s ideal for anyone looking to ‘be at one with nature’ and enjoy a few luxuries whilst living in the great outdoors. Top celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Lady GaGa and even Justin Bieber have headed to top glamping spots to escape the frenzy of modern day life.

However, you don’t have to travel to the other side of the world to go glamping. Here at Osea we’ve developed our stunning Osea Meadows site and this year we’re launching our new top-of-the-range glamping pods. The Osea management team went on a mission to find the ultimate in glamping for our lovely clients. And, they haven’t failed! We’re delighted to offer three beautifully crafted wooden-framed pods, which can sleep four adults, or two adults and three children (extra bed available upon request).

Inside these hobbit-style homes there’s acres of living space, ‘all mod-cons’ and even underfloor heating! Thanks to careful space planning the pods easily accommodate a double bed and a specially-designed Italian sofa bed. There’s even a contemporary ensuite bathroom with an electric shower, sink and toilet. The pods also offer all the facilities you need to cook-up family treats in the kitchenette area. Here you’ll find a microwave, fridge, gas stove, stainless steel sink and kettle. There’s also a table and chairs, plus a TV, what more could you possibly dream of for your glamping get-away! A family favourite
Our lodge tents have become very popular with families looking to get-away, but don’t want the hassle of popping-up a tent. The lodge tents are also well-liked with groups of families either sharing the same tent, or, hiring out two or more tents for special family get-togethers. Each lodge tent sleeps up to eight people (four adults and four children), so there’s plenty of space!

The lodge tents have been carefully designed to become a real home away from home. The tents are a very large size, offer lots of privacy, thanks to the tents ‘zipped zones’, have great bathroom facilities, country-cottage furnishings and wood-burning stove. Find out more about the lodge tents.

A special place by the fireside…
No glamping experience is complete without a campfire and cooking over coals. At Osea we provide a special barbecue barrel and firepit, plus log seating with some of our glamping experiences. We’re also happy for all glampers and campers to bring along their own barbecue or firepit, as long as it sits above the ground.

Freshly caught local fish makes the ideal supper for glampers. It’s simple! Season, then wrap in tin foil and place on the barbecue until cooked – delicious! Of course, children always love toasting marshmallows on the barbecue and are loved by young and old alike! Also, don’t forget to pack your blankets so you can all sit around the campfire. Spend time together watching the sun set and retell stories – make the most of one another’s company.
