Osea Meadows is a tranquil camping and glamping site set next to the beautiful Blackwater estuary, near Maldon, Essex, idle for your Touring Caravans.

Spacious Natural Setting

Osea offers 30 electric hook-up places in our spacious camping ground. Each space has a natural wooden divider and offers a glorious place for a relaxing break. The camping area is bordered by natural hedgerows and native trees to create the perfect camping location. The campsite is a haven for wildlife with wild rabbits, and migratory birds; at Osea you can sit back and relax in this natural haven and listen to the pretty birdsong.

Well Equiped

At present all tourers must have their own toilet and shower facilities.

Within the grounds we also offer all of our campers access to the ‘Garden Ark’, where you’re free to store ice blocks. The ark also has vending machines where you can buy a drink or snack. We’re also happy for our campers to bring their own barbecues or fire pits. Please make sure they’re raised off the ground.

At Osea we’re passionate about nature. Over the past few years we’ve been replanting many native trees and hedgerows to create a beautiful spot for visitors to ‘get away from it all’. At Osea we have a saying ‘All that space and sky’ and that’s something really unique. We’re not about cramping in our guests, we want to offer a wonderful experience where there’s space for children to run around and have fun, and where no-one is overcrowded.

Osea is located by the Blackwater estuary, which offers many outdoor activities for visitors. On the river there’s sailing, fishing, paddle-boarding and jet-skiing opportunities. By the riverside, there’s a footpath and cycle path that leads from the campsite beside the local saltmarshes which stretches for miles. The river is also home to migratory birds and is an ideal place for bird watching over the salt marshes.

Osea has a gated entrance to help you feel reassured that you’re safe in our enclosed setting.

Helpful Tips

Please remember even when glamping you are still camping, so don’t forget to pack your bedding and towels.

Always bring wet gear, especially wellies and a waterproof jacket, you never know what the weather will bring.

Shepards hut glamping holiday We stayed at osea for four nights in August (sat - weds). They hut was really spacious compared to what we thought. Plenty of storage space. Electric lights. A two plug socket (one plug taken with the fridge plug in), a toilet and basin, two hob stove and a small sink for washing up,2 bunk beds and a small sofa that pulls out into a small double. All the beds were quite short to create space so if ur tall it's a bit of a squeeze. Everything was tidy, our fridge was quite a bit smaller than they'd described could only fit a 1 pint milk in it.... My sister however in the other hut had a larger fridge that fitted around 4 pints in. A few issues with the toilet at one point,caused by issues at the showers but they fixed really quickly. Our fieled was quite a nice quiet one not to crammed in. Had a fire pit, space for the car and a picnic bench. The site facilities were great, shower blocks very clean, club house basic but what u needed, Tiptree coffee shop was lovely, faced out to the water, play park, which was more suited to older children (we have a 1 year old), out door gym equipment. And I believe there was a shop on site but we went to aldi around the corner. There was a little noise one night which did go on quite late behind our field which was a shame, otherwise pretty quiet. We have since seen a post on Facebook where the camp were asking about what to add next? I feel if there were any more additions it may become too crowded. The pitch for camping were very tight. Over all an enjoyable stay. But please don't add more osea

Great facilities great holiday value The new changes to the camp site from last year have made it even better. With two lots of showers and toilets and the new on site manager facilities were good changes. It’s well worth the money with the club house and play area all as good. The area of Essex it’s set in is area of beauty with bike paths and sailing, canoeing and kayaking. The amp site is kept clean although bin area was full to the sky so must have been bin day the next day.

Wonderful Camping Holiday We spent a week camping standard pitch had a brilliant time, it was very busy but the toilet/shower blocks were cleaned and checked on a regular basis everyday, there was a warden staying in a caravan near the entrance who was very pleasant he always checked to make sure everything was ok, Plots were marked out so you had your own plot unlike other years, there was a new second shower/ toilet block for this year I did not have a chance to try it out but did have a nosey, we enjoyed walking the mile walk every day, the kids enjoyed the park, overall it was another successful camping trip we will definitely be going back.

1 night glamping Stayed in a Lodge tent with very good facilities. Dining area, kitchen, wood burner & shower. It was a rainy day but we were dry and warm. Nice tearoom on site but sea. Tent are in a nice field. parking easy.

Sharon Welcoming. Good, clean facilities. Beautiful setting.rive Blackwater a stones throw from our pitch. Glorious views. Could only get booked for one night. Will book in advance next time as will most definitely be returning.

Amazing This was our first time at Osea Leisure park in our touring caravan and i will definitely be going back. Shower and toilet blocks were lovely. The staff were lovely and friendly, making us feel both welcome and relaxed. Perfect for families with children and pets. I would definitely recommend this site. One of the best ones i have been too.
